Three Chairs for the Three Bears!

A poem by Beverly Stock.

I know a house where

There live three bears.

Those three bears

Loved iced eclairs,

In their tiny cottage,

A storybook affair

Although threadbare,

Bears didn’t care!

After morning prayer,

Alas! A nightmare!

All three near despair!

Because Baby Bear’s

Au pair (on Medicare)

“Old Goldie” broke all the

Armchairs, glassware,

And computer hardware.

Then left with a gazillionaire

From the Department

of Health, Education,

and Welfare.

What do you say when the Three Bears want to sit down?

Three chairs for the Three Bears!
