My brother, unfamiliar
With pet fish that were killers
Put a Gourami* in my tank.
This angry Gourami
Ate my oldest fish, a Mollie,
And the census in my tank sank.
Gourami swam up to another
Ate a Ghost Shrimp then his brother,
As he started his buffet within my tank.
Before I could catch him,
He went down for a deep swim
and ate my last four Tetra’s, as they sank.
POET'S NOTES: *A Gourami is a bad choice for any aquariums with less than five gallons.
