  My Poems

I Am

A "Do It Yourself" Poem by Beverly Stock.

I am caring and giving

I wonder why aggression flourishes

I hear the thymic purr of my cat

I see light at the end of the tunnel

I am caring and giving.

I pretend not to worry

I feel celestial guidance

I touch the memory of a friend

I worry our politics will destroy the humanity in life

I cry when my loved ones hurt

I am caring and giving.

I understand honesty, loyalty and dedication pay off.

I say live with an attitude of gratitude

I dream of a balanced world

I try not to be rash and judgmental

I hope the world gets more peaceful as I get older

I am caring and giving.

Poet’s Note: This is an easy way to write a poem. Use the first two words on each line then add your own expression, just as I did. If you’d like to give me yours to read, send it in a word file to Contact@beverlystockpoetry.com. I’ll thank all who submit on my Facebook page - beverlystockpoetry - by the end of August.
